I am always reluctant when things seem to start going well in my life.  Sometimes things just sort of fall into place.  I am so used to the fact that satan is always trying to mess things up that when times are good, I don't always know how to react.  He is still hard at work trying to sidetrack some of our church folks.  He is alway walking around like a lion trying to find someone to eat up.  I want to let you know today satan great is He that is in me than you will ever be.  Our lives are full of highs and lows.  My prayer is that when things seem at their worst, we will continue focusing our eyes on the Father.  God bless.

I was able to work on a team this past weekend leading a group of men on a spiritual journey resulting in a closer walk with God.  First of all, I am so honored to get the privilege.  Secondly, while there we worshipped with a song whose chorus sings, "We are hungry.  We are hungry.  We are hungry for more of You.  We are thirsty, oh Jesus.  We are thirsty for more of You."  I am reminded when Jesus' words, as recorded by John.  "But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."  I am hungry and thirsty for more of Jesus; furthermore, all children of God should be hungry and thirsty to experience more of God.  When we are no longer wanting more, then we should question our relationship and get it back on track.  My prayer is that you want to grow closer and closer to our Father in heaven.  Have a blessed day.

I am so blessed to get to minister at Folsom.  I think about everything that we have been up to and am truly blessed by what I see.  Our F.U.E.L. group has some folks that they are helping out on a weekly basis.  We have been serving at Families Feeding Families for several months now.  When Shilah's Aunt Cara passed away, we had many members of our church family offer assistance during that time.  We just purchased a beautiful baby grand piano for our church.  The gym is getting closer to complete.  I walked in today, and Quinton has started taping and bedding the downstairs.  This will be a tremendous outreach to the community when completed.  Kevin Daniels, pastor of Harrah Church, made a statement a few weeks ago.  He said, "Saved people serve people."  Amen Kevin!  I think we are doing a good job here at Folsom.  Everyone have a blessed day.

Satan has really been working overtime this weekend.  This past weekend was a really tough one.  Yeah, we were out of school Friday and today.  We did get to celebrate our Lord's resurrection.  Just let me start.  Thursday night, I started out sneezing.  That continued to get worse as the weekend moved forward.  Saturday, we got up.  I was about to get things started for breakfast, and Shilah was feeding the boys.  She got a call from her mom.  Her Aunt Cara had been in a motorcycle accident.  Cara ended up not making it.  Such a tragedy for Shilah's family.  Let me add here, that Cara was an amazing lady.  She accepted me right into her family.  I really felt like she was my aunt.  She will be greatly missed.  By Saturday night, I am running fever.  Allergies had turned into a sinus infection.  I did not need this right now.  Not with one of the biggest services of the year tomorrow.  Sunday morning rolls around.  Easter Sunday!  I could feel Satan's tug throughout the entire service.  Between feeling so hurt for Shilah and her family and battling sickness, I just wasn't on my game yesterday.  I struggled through the entire service.  At some point during my sermon, my fever broke.  Definitely, it was not my best showing for God. . . . . . . . . So let's fast forward to today.  I will always do my best for God.  I will not be defeated by something that is less than the God I serve.  Let me tell you something, satan, you are not holding the reigns of my life.  You will be defeated everytime!  When are you gonna learn?  Greater is He that is in me than you will ever be.  Praise be to God!

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.  Matthew 16:18

I am really excited about what God is about to do at Folsom.  I already see things falling into place.  Numbers are growing.  We are getting more people in that want to work for God.  There is an excitement in the air.  Maybe I am the only one feeling this way, but I am feeling and seeing God working in my church family.  That is exciting!  I know we have some great people in our church with some great skills.  Some of these folks are using those skills for God.  I know that if we continue on satan will start rising up again, and when he does let's remember the verse above.  We are a church built on Jesus Christ, and there is NOTHING that satan can do to overtake us.  Praise God!
