It is always an exciting time to move into a new year.  Coming into the end of a year, sometimes we are carrying around junk built up over the entire year.  When that clock clicks to midnight, and the new year begins, much of that baggage magically goes away.  In reality, that is how God designed it.  When you look at spring, you can see that it is a renewing process that takes place.  Vegetation reemerges.  Animals become new parents.  It starts warming up outside.  We see the sun more often.  It is just an awesome time of year.  That is how we are.  We start shucking off some of that old stuff and start seeing things in a new light.  Thank you, God, for rejuvenation.  Thank you for allowing us to see your hand on things like this.  God bless.

Did I ever tell you I love this time of year?  Tonight at church we are putting up Christmas decorations.  I love Christmas decorations, lights, and tree.  Last night we took the boys to the Christmas parade in Durant.  To see how excited they were to watch everything go by was amazing.  Now, these boys are nearly 3 and nearly 2, and they were fixed on the parade the entire time.  I did help that they were getting candy thrown at them.

What if we were excited about Jesus like this?  What if we could not take our eyes off of Him because we didn't want to miss something?  We would want to come to church.  We would want to help people.  We would want to pray.  Everything about us would cry out "More!  More!  More!"  It would consume us.  That would be a great place to be!  God's church has gone way too long on just doing enough to get by.  It is time to fall in love and be consumed.  God bless you today.

The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

It has been a while since I added a thought.  Rayden has been extremely busy.  I made it through Thanksgiving.  We were out of school for the entire week.  That sounds great I know, and it was.  However, I spent the entire week sick with sinus stuff.  I thought it was about to clear up.  Then another round hit me.  No, I didn't go to the doctor, and that was why it wasn't getting any better.  Finally, on Saturday I broke down and went.  Sinus Infection.  I could have told them that.  Just give me my meds, so I can be on my way.  Well, got the medicine and am now starting to feel better after 2.5 weeks of it.  How great would this time of the year be if it wasn't cold and flu season?  Good things have been happening at church.  God is moving during the services.  I am ready for our little church to start bursting at the seams.  I want so many people there that we need to expand.  Not for me, but to introduce people to my Lord and Savior.  I hope everyone is getting in the CHRISTmas spirit.  I know I sure am.  Until next time.

God Bless.

Hello everyone.  I would like to start by saying how much I enjoyed last week.  Beginning Tuesday, I attended our Oklahoma state FWB meeting at Hillsdale.  It was very informative and spiritually uplifting.  Every service was fantastic.  I am ready for a renewal throughout this world.  I am not just talking about a group of meetings called a revival.  I am ready for a move of God that no one on this earth has ever witnessed.  My buddy, Dustin Grammar, came down from Buffalo Valley to minister in song and give us God's Word.  I am thankful that God still works and still uses people to speak through.  We need to keep on doing our part, forgetting about recognition we could or should be receiving.  Just keep on keeping on..  God bless.

This morning was a great service.  It seems like every week they just get better and better.  God is really working in our little church.  I preached Joshua 3 this morning.  Joshua brought the Israelites up to the Jordan River and was about to take them across.  Man, how fitting is that to what is going on in our church right now.  I feel like God has led us up to the bank of the Jordan, and He is waiting on everything to be just right.  We need to allow God to lead us and follow Him when He does.  We need to constantly check our motives.  I know for me, I get so excited thinking about how God is moving that sometimes my focus starts to try to shift away from God and His plan.  If you do not have a church home, I really think you would enjoy our little church in Folsom, OK.  May God bless you and protect you.
